How to say "I Love You"...Without Speaking A Word #13

Go on a scavenger hunt.
Nothing brings out that feeling of puppy love again in a relationship, quite like revisiting your old stomping grounds. That doesn't mean just by sitting and talking about them, either. That means actually getting up, and going to visit them.
One wonderful way of showing your spouse or significant other how much they mean to you, is by reminiscing on past times you have enjoyed together.
Write a clue leading them to the first place you locked eyes on eachother, and then hide a note there leading them to the first place you got up the nerve to speak to eachother. From there, have them visit your first date location, first kiss, and have them end up at the most recent place you have spent time together. You will be waiting there for them.
After revisiting all of these wonderful memories, they will definitely fall in love with you all over again.
And...isn't that the point?

How to say "I Love You"...Without Speaking A Word #12

Like who they like.
Whether it is their family, their ex-roomate from college, or that annoying friend who always seems to rub you the wrong way, it is important to try your best to like the people who your loved one holds dear to their heart.
It may take some teeth-gritting smiles, and a couple of forced giggles at bad jokes, but your willingness to get along with them will definitely show that special someone that you not only love them, but that you are able to be on your best behavior to tolerate those whom you may care far less for.
Not only will this make them see what a great person you are, but it will make birthdays, holidays, and social events so much easier for everyone.
Remember This:

How to say "I Love You"...Without Speaking A Word #11

This one is quite simple. It consists of writing two words that can heal wounds, dry tears, ease aching hearts, and turn a frown into a smile. The secret is this: it is important to remember that using these two words sometimes may seem necessary to the one you love...even if they don't seem necessary to you. You may need to use them, even if you feel you haven't done anything wrong. Whether it is to your parents, your sibling, your best friend, or your lover, the words "I'm sorry" can mean so much.
They are not words to be abused or misused...you must not say them with every intention of continuing to do whatever it is you are apologizing for, or eventually they will lose their power forever.
But when you have lost your temper, spoken too quickly, mislead someone, or otherwise hurt someone's feelings it is so important to swallow your pride, and write them these two little words:
"I'm Sorry."
Believe it or not, you will both feel much better once you have.

How to say "I Love You"...Without Speaking a Word #10

One of the most important times to make sure that the special someone in your life knows how much you care for them, is when they aren't around at all. Whether it's your family member going away for vacation, your child moving off for college, or your loved one taking a business trip, it's important that they know that out of sight doesn't mean out of mind.
A simple way of doing this is by writing a quick note, telling them that you love them, miss them, and will be waiting until they return, and then slipping the note into a place that they won't find until they've already left.
If the note is for a romantic love, a nice touch is to spritz it with a bit of your perfume or cologne.
When they do come across this little love note, the smell, the words, and the love that you've enclosed is sure to keep you on their mind until they've returned home again.

100 Ways to say "I Love You"...Without Speaking a Word #9

You know the saying "The fastest way to a man's heart is his stomach?", well it's true.
Almost.
We think the fastest way to ANYONE'S heart is their stomach, especially when you have served that person up something that was made with love.
A wonderful way of showing someone you care about that they mean the world to you, is by cooking or baking them a special, unexpected treat. You don't have to be Rachael Ray to pull it off, just pay attention next time they mention a certain dish that they love, or what menu item they constantly order from their favorite restaurant, or even what type of cookie they always look for when grocery shopping. Then, go online, search for a recipe, and cook up a storm! When you present them with their masterpiece they will truly appreciate the time, effort, and love that you poured into every spoonfull of it-even if it's just Mac n' Cheese.
By the end of the meal their stomachs will be full of your cooking, and their heart will be full of your love...and what a great combination that is.

How to say "I Love You"...Without Speaking a Word #8

This time of year is perfect re-ineventing the leisurely car ride.
In our hectic times, we tend to constantly be in a hurry, rushing from one point to the next, and forgetting to stop and smell the roses.
One way to show that you love someone, whether it's your spouse, your best friend, your children, or your family, is to pile into the car and drive around looking at Christmas lights.
You can go online, or tune into your local news station to find out where the biggest and best Christmas displays are so you can get the most out of your drive. Fill a thermos with hot chocolate or coffee and fill a tupperware with cookies and snacks, then pick up those you love to spend an evening of sipping, snacking, and oooh-ing and awww-ing.
Nothing says "I love you" like a toasty car and chocolate chip cookies.

How to say "I Love You"....Without Speaking A Word #6

Ladies....go watch some football.

Gents....go get a mani/pedi.

It may sound funny, but one of the best ways to show that special someone that you love them, is by simply doing something that they love to do.

Ladies, this Sunday instead of complaining that your men-folk sit around and watch football all day, sit around with them! Pass the potato chips, yell and scream at the TV, and practice your touchdown two-step!

Men, next time that special lady in your life decides to go to the salon, go with her! Read about the latest celebrity break-ups, chat about the juicy new gossip, and let your feet get scrubbed smooth.

The point is, even if it's not something you're interested in, they will definitely appreciate the thought.

And who knows, you may discover you like it too!

How to say "I Love You"....Without Speaking A Word #5

Before going to bed tonight, set out everything your loved one will need for breakfast the next morning.

If they eat a bowl of cereal to start their day, have the bowl out, a napkin, a spoon, and the box of cereal waiting for them. If all they have before running out of the door is a cup of coffee, scoop the coffee into the coffee maker, measure out the water, and set their favorite coffee mug on the counter.
They will surely appreciate the thought, and their breakfast will taste just a bit sweeter than usual.

How to say "I Love You"....Without Speaking a Word #4

We've talked a bit about how to let your spouse, sibling, or other adults know how much you care for them...but what about the kids?
This is a great idea for your own children, neices or nephews, or even to pass on to friends of yours who have children.
As we all know, children's obsessions change weekly, if not daily. Although to the adult mind all of these changing interests and infatuations may seem overwhelming (or even a little bit schizophrenic), an active imagination and ever-changing "favorites" is a very normal part of growing up.
To show that special little "mini me" in your life just how much you adore their busy mind, put a little extra thought when packing their lunch for daycare, school, or a picnic. Cut their PB&J into the shape of a T-Rex, Hello Kitty, Mickey Mouse, or whatever their latest obsession is. If you don't have cookie cutters, or don't trust your creative cutting skills, you can simply add a smiley face to the top with a couple of raisins and a thinly sliced sliver of carrot. Tuck a little note under their apple slices letting them know that they are the apple of your eye.

Those five extra minutes you spend making their meal extra special, will guarantee your little imp carries a smile on their face throughout the day. And, really....what's not to love about that?

How To Say "I Love You"....Without Speaking A Word #3

Next time that you see someone you love is struggling with a big decision, going through a relationship crisis, or just generally having a tough time, let them know that you have the time to listen.
Making eye contact, reassuring them with a light touch on the hand, or a pat on the back, and waiting until asked, before you try giving advice, are all great ways to show that you understand what they are going through, and that you love and support them no matter what.

Sometimes it's not what you say, that shows how much you care....but what you don't say.

How To Say "I Love You"...Without Speaking a Word #2

Have you ever heard of that saying, "Keep it simple, stupid." ?
Well, we agree. You don't always need to buy big, extravagant presents to show how much you care for someone.
If he loves candy, buy one piece of his favorite kind, and then tuck it in the slacks he will be wearing to work the next day.
If she adores roses, buy her a single rose and leave it for her in her coffee cup for her to find in the morning.
Not only will it show how much you love them, but it will keep them thinking of you the whole day long.
It only takes a little, to show you love them a lot.

They are sure to appreciate the effort you made, and the emotions you contributed as they read the definition of your love for them.

The Ocean, A Mother's Perfume, and Other Things That Inspire Us

Whenever we introduce ourselves, and tell people that we design a handmade jewelry line, the first question that we are asked is; "What inspires you?"

It's hard to answer that question in one sentence, which is usually all a stranger expects, because to be honest, we are inspired by so very many things.

We have always loved the sparkle and clarity of Swarovski Crystals, and prefer the crisp, clean look of sterling silver to most other mediums. To us, the cut and brilliance of an Aquamarine Swarovksi Crystal brings to mind the clear ocean water that we used to enjoy swimming in as children off of the coast of the Florida Keys.

The feminine pink hue of the Light Rose Swarovski Crystals remind us of the innocence and awe that a young girl has on her face, while watching her mother put on her makeup, spritz her perfume, and don her jewelry before heading out the door for a night out.

When we chose the charms for our first collection, we immediately loved the idea of pairing heart locks and keys together, as a dedication to all of the young lovers in the world, who are experiencing their heart being unlocked and open to the bittersweet journey of first love.

Jewelry is more than a fashion accessory. It is a way of expressing your emotions, your style, your status, your creativity, and your love of beautiful things. In short, the one thing that inspires us more than anything else, is you...and all of your emotions that rush through your heart when sliding that last bracelet on before walking out the door.

We would love to know...what inspires you?
